About Us

Dapne Rapodile was a full time employee of the Chamber of Mines of SA during the 1980’s with the main responsibility being to take tourists on a guided tour of operational mines. The tours were conducted thrice a week and were very popular with mainly overseas tourists and local companies. In the mid 1990s, the Chamber of Mines changed it’s operational focus and these tours were discontinued. This resulted in the birth of Refentse Mining Tours.
