We offer the following itinerary:

• Introduction to the South African mining industry’s history with emphasis on the mine being visited whilst en-route to the mine
• Reception at the mine by a mine official, giving tourists general information about the mine, its owners and other stakeholders and the specific mining activities and methods used
• A guided underground tour by mine officials to the working stope
• The opportunity to watch a “gold pour”
• A tour of the processing plant. This gives visitors an opportunity to see the extraction process
• A tour of a black township closer to the mine to see how mining has affected living standards of local residents
